Do you use Outlook 2016 instead of Apple Mail? I have to say that I own Office 2016 with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. I read on German message boards that there are some Mac users who prefer to use Outlook.
The most exciting thing is that Microsoft advertises Outlook with the words: 'We speak Gmail'. And I do remember that the previous version of Outlook had some problems with Gmail accounts and Apple Mail before OSX 'El Capitan' either (there was a bug with the Gmail trash). Currently I am using Outlook just with my Hotmail account, but somehow it looks awesome. Before considering 'switching' to Outlook 2016 I want to know, what advantages do you notice in comparison to other applications? By the way, there are also users who still use Entourage 2008. Apple Mail for iCloud email account due to better integration with calendar, calling, etc. I use Spark for most of my other email accounts. Outlook is used for work email (Exchange Server), the company blocks other email clients. Outlook for Mac is decent, lacks a couple of features like voting, read receipts.

If I really need those features, I reach over to my company provided WinDoze laptop for these tasks. For 99.9% of my email needs, it does the job. I used to use it for Hotmail and a few others, but found myself sending from personal accounts to customers, so I started using Spark for the personal accounts. Outlook on WinDoze takes about 4 times as long to launch as it seems to be ladened with a dozen or so plugins (Archive, Iron Port, Secure Share) that the IT folks think we all can't live without. That, and the fact that it runs on WinDoze earns the PC version a 1/10 in my book. Do you use Outlook 2016 instead of Apple Mail?

Have you tried turning on the two preferences for Attachments found under the Edit menu in Mail. Particularly the last one! I have no idea why Apple doesn't put this into the real Preferences of Mail. That being said, you're still going to have to right-click the image and select 'View as Icon' from the contextual menu every time you send an image— that's what ultimately turns the inline image into an attachment. If you send a bunch of images in one email, you can just 'Select All' and right click on any one of the images to apply this to all of them at once. Unfortunately there is no default setting for 'iconizing' all images every time.
There is for $15 that will do all this garbage automatically. But I know nothing about the developer, so I'm not sure if it will continue to work moving forward.
. Right-click (or ctrl-click) the message in your Inbox or other folder (do not open the message). From the menu that appears, select View Source.
Your text editor (typically an application called TextEdit) will open, displaying all the headers for the message, followed by the message body. If you need to copy the headers (to paste somewhere else),. Drag over the text from the beginning of the text to the beginning of the body of the message. Press command-c on your keyboard; this copies the highlighted text to the clipboard. Then, with an email message or other document open, press command-v to paste the header text into that document.
